Courtesy call by Chairman of BIFM UK Ms Ismena Clout

A courtesy call has been made by the Chairman of British Institute of FM (BIFM) UK, Ms Ismena Clout to Construction Research Institute of Malaysia (CREAM) recently. BIFM is the second largest FM institution in the world. The visit is part of her trip to Malaysian and other countries. Among the points of discussion is to seek for any collaboration relating to FM in PPP/PFI. Other officers attended the discussion are Mr Massuan Ahamad, a consultant and expert officer of PPP Unit (UKAS) Prime Minister Office (PMO) and lecturer from University Malaya. All parties had agreeable to work in collaborative for mutual benefits in particular of FM areas. 

Visit to BIFM UK

Study visit to British Institute of FM (BIFM) was held on March 2013 to get the latest development of FM in UK. The presentation has been made by Neill Everett Manager of Bus Development. A delegation comprise post grad student of FM from Univ Malaya.

Learning and Research Visit to University College of London (UCL) UK will  be held from 11th-21st March 2013, an outbound programme by FM post graduate students from Faculty of Built Environment University Malaya. Some 11 students and supervisor Assoc Prof Sr Dr Syahrul Nizam will lead the delegation and tour in London. During the trip students will be joining FM strategic planning classes conducted by Professor Michael Pitt and other FM Professor in UCL. The delegates will also visit to Defense Ministry to see FM development. Besides, an arrangement has been made with British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) to discuss on further potential research and collaboration in FM and get some insight and taught on the development of FM in UK and Europe.

New Ventures CREAM and UMS on Green Construction and Sustainable FM

On 7th February 2013,CREAM and Universiti Malaysia Sabah UMS had signed a letter of intent to seek the potential collaboration on research covers in facilities management and sustainablr construction.
