Objective 2 ; To identify the type of ICT application used for FM organisation

 Group A;

 

In Malaysia for Strategic Management there is hardly any evidence of much focus in terms of FM. However, the other categories there is some form of ICT used for FM of larger facilities, but mainly using in-house basic software.

Strategic Management

(i)                 Certain clients have office space management software tool

(ii)               CMMS (Computerized Maintenance and Management System)

            Building Automation System embedded within the as built building(Intelligent Building System)

Building and Engineering Services

(i)                 Generic  tool for FM e.g. C-Works oriented towards Inventory, Work Order & Preventive Maintenance

Environmental management, (i)                 Autodesk Revit (MEP, C&S and Architectural), Ecotect and Green Studio for building energy management Domestic services (i)                 In-house software for basic data management Administration & service support

(i)                 Administration and service support waste management  e.g. Health Information System

 Group B; 

Type of application JKR type currently - In house Normal database only Maintenance – SPATA (Sistem Pengurusan Aset Tak Alih) information of type of repair maintenance schedule as built drawing list of equipment Asset management system   ABACUS - software for maintenance Maintenance schedule – Planned maintenance & trouble shooting    Group C; -  Maximo -   Archibus -   C-works (developed by Malaysia) -   Artra - Most of the well-established AM FM companies in Malaysia is using strategic management,management and engineering services. However most of buildings are using lower than that Group D; Current application covers all the modules for Facility Management requirement such as Asset Register, Work Order, Maintenance Activity etc e.g sofware uses CMMS, CAFM, CAMIS. Lack of Space Management & Drawing Integration However, the software is administered by a personnel operational and tactical level. Group E; JKR use Revit for design Project management software CMMS - Cworks Archibus MS Project ACAD Microsoft Office 3D Max
